Happy birthday!

The original Metroid, while not as revolutionary as Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda, was still highly influential. It was one of the first games to feature a password save and multiple endings, and it spawned one of the all-time great video game franchises.

Here's hoping for new games on 3DS and WiiU soon!
