Pretty much this. You hit the nail on the head and the biggest evidence was their E3 presentation. They showed the indies off more than they ever had before. Third party AAA budget games are dying as a profitable business model. EA and Ubisoft are trying to expand their services to store fronts and subscription services. Not to mention they as well as activision are looking to get as much exclusive funding feom MS and Sony as possible for their releases. Hell the company in question is having a very hard time keeping their head above the water, and all they been releasing beside exclusive titles ard ports and digital games. Ah well I hope the big three really invest in their first party stuff and indie games like No Man's Sky. |
