90% of the time it causes suffering. It might sound bad but if people stopped preying for each other as much and actually helped all of these countries would not be in such a mess. Agreed, the world would be a better and safer place without religion. Praying accomplishes absolutely nothing, if you truly wanted to help them you'd donate money to the cause, campain, raise awareness etc... whats the point of talking to yourself with your hands together?

OT: this is really horrible, nobody should ever be allowed to commit acts like these, yet western governments to nothing. News sites focus on Ukraine and Gaza whwn Iraq is 100x worse, so not many people know and care. This really saddens me.

Religion is an idea just like communism, capitalism, atheism or whatever. The world wouldn't change without it and a lot of people who believe in the spiritual actually does what you just pointed out.

Simply put all these suffering is caused by men who doesn't have any goodwill to their fellow men. Wether they are gun wielding fanatics or men in a $1000 suit (is there a $1000 suit?)
