Wait until April hits, and the reality of the Wii sales situation will be apparent. WiiFit will devastate the PS3 & 360 in sales - because it will actually sell more consoles.

Considering the Wii has sold more than double what the PS3 has since launch, I think Wii selling 16m before PS3 selling 9m is more than likely.

 

yahh especially with its superb games that are coming wait are there even any. wii fit will devestate ok if that so then GTA4 will all out annihilate wii sales.

Honestly is there any other place on the whole web that delusionally denys GTA selling capability.

 

 

Clearly nobody thinks that GTA won't move a lot of hardware overall, but I'm curious if you believe that GTA IV will move more hardware than Wii Fit?

Its an interesting question and personally I think Wii Fit will ultimately move more hardware but over a longer period of time.  GTA fans are far more likely to already have a console, and the ones who don't are very likely to buy it as soon as the game comes out.  Wii Fit will appeal to a great deal of people who don't own a Wii yet and it will likely continue to move hardware throughout the life of the console as word of mouth spreads.

It would be interesting if we could reliably find out at the end of the generation exactly how many people bought a Wii for Wii Fit and how many people bought a 360 or PS3 for GTA IV.   I can definitely see some scenarios where GTA IV could beat Wii Fit but I think the likely outcome is that Wii Fit will be responsible for more than the combined hardware sales of GTA IV.
