If we compare PSP and 3DS then the next Nintendo Handheld will be roughly comparable to Vita, the next 3DS will maybe have:
- A more powerfull and modern GPU, graphics will be better than on Vita
- A much weaker CPU, many AAA and indies CPU heavy games still won't be possible on it, only Nintendo usual Mario/pokemon games like on 3DS will really shine.
The CPU in Vita is really a powerfull power hungry beast, many devs underclock the Vita's CPU during their games in order to save power.
The resolution will be also comparable to Vita, maximum 540x1920 if still stereoscopic 3D but I really expect a lower resolution like 480x1600 which would already be 2x more than 3DS, great for playing 3DS games on it, the upscaling will be perfect.
