I guess he would have said so if it was, but the fact that these are 3DS screens makes me wonder if this is a other mode exclusive for 3ds. I certainly hope not.

I know no one really care for the 3DS version of the game as the WiiU's, and they are trying to make ppl want this version as much as the WiiU's, but giving 3DS alot of exclusive modes while WiiU has none is not the way to go.
If they go that way to much, I can already hear reviews say how great the game could be if both version had everything istead of having both game with exclusive stuffs but lacking what the other version has making both version feel like incomplete.

But here is the problem, First 3DS Exclusive mode (Smash Run) only works well for 3DS (locally of course). And it needs to differentiate from the WiiU version some how. Ask the question, Why would somebody need to get a 3DS version when there is the WiiU version coming out a couple months afterward? (The obvious definitive game)

~ Portable + Exclusive Mode (Smash Run) + Exclusive Trophies to Collect + Different Stages + Etc.

Second, the thing i dont understand why people dont think WiiU will have its own Exclusive Mode. For Marketing reasons why would you promote SSB WiiU more than 3DS before 3DS version is out? Thats obviously why they arent showing anything. Its even proven in the pic of the days. We never got 3DS pics (once in the blue) and now we are getting them 4-5 times a week out of 5!

This happened just last year with LoZ, no need to Hype up LoZ U and take the attention off of ALBW+Hyrue Warriors. We all know LoZ U is more important, but Blocking marketing+resources for the other games is a bad marketing strategy imo.

Lets wait for WiiU, im 110% sure we'll get a Nintendo Direct this month or a SSB for 3DS direct before Japan release and get a SSB WiiU direct later
