Well there is the other point that a lot of Nintendo's games simply wouldn't work that great on mobile.

The top grossing mobile games are not ports of old button based titles. I played Megaman 2 on iPhone ... it was a terrible experience.


they dont have to be top grossing, just sell enough to make a profit which im sure they could do.


Offering a crappy product, in the hopes of make a quick profit, is a terrible way to run a business.  Especially when all of the potential sales would come from name recognition.  It would certainly erode trust in their product.

my point is people would still buy it, they buy them all the time
