Omg, this is actually a pretty good idea! Their style would fit well with Nintendo, and I think the culture would mesh well too. That said, while I could see them making an awesome Mario movie, and Pikmin would turn out great as well, and they could probably do a pretty good job with Fire Emblem, I'm not so sure about all of Nintendo's properties. I don't know that Advance Wars, Fzero, Metroid, or Star Fox would mesh well with Ghibli. Perhaps if instead of buying Ghibli they just snatched up the animation talent, and got some other good talent, and just formed their own studio. They see themselves as an entertainment company, so why not?
