I don't know about it being a system seller, that's probably the least of Platinum or Nintendo's problems.
What is far more important is the game being a "commercial success" to warrant its release.
This is more of a concern to many Nintendo fans than it being a so-called system seller.
If it doesn't sell a single Wii U but reaches over a 1m of the current user base that would be an outstanding result.
A solid library that can bring sales over a period of time is just as important as a game that does it in a day.
The game does need a bit more exposure but mass advertising is not a recipe for success. If that was the case then Kinect Sports on XBone would have sold a trillion in the UK.
