i had been pulling for Wolf Link/Midna since 2006 and Bowser Jr. since like 2003 but i don't think either of them are going to happen now. Wolf Link is definitely not happening cause Brawl was his only chance to make it. maybe Bowser Jr. still has a chance tho.
i was also pulling for Animal Crosser and Little Mac in Brawl so i'm very happy they've made it now.
by the way on the topic of Ridley: honestly the best argument against him being solely a stage boss is how Toon Link is on that Spirit Tracks stage on 3DS, meaning that just because a character is featured in a stage doesn't necesarilly mean they are not a playable character. i'm not arguing that he is gonna be in (if i had to make a bet at this point i would say he will not be in) but just pointing that out. if he is not a character then i think that they tried to implement him and just couldn't get him to work to their satisfaction due to size. because they are of course aware of the demand and it would be stupid for them not to at least try at this point.
