Funny to me to see so many people mentioning that this seems like an attempt by EA to get more money and that because of that it must be a bad thing. Of course it is an attempt to get more money! Companies are created exactly for that reason: to make money.
If EA is seeing a way to make money off older games by offering them in a subscription service then that is what they are going to do. After all, those older games realistically are going to be sold in greater numbers in the retail market from a used game bin. This means EA sees none of that money and Gamestop and the like sees all of it. This is just a way for them to get the money instead of Gamestop. I would rather the publisher and developer get my "used game money", this way they can continue to make new games.
