1) The Dreamcast still sold.

2) I watched the video and they didn't explain how the Dreamcast died. They just showed that the PS2 trumped the Dreamcast, but it certainly didn't kill it! The GC nor the Xbox were killed off by the PS2, so why would the Dreamcast? The reason the Dreamcast died was because Sega couldn't afford to keep itself afloat. When Sega went out of business, they still had Dreamcasts in stock. That's what the video was glossing over. Of course, there's several reasons why Sega went out of business, and some of the things that hampered the sales of the Dreamcast, but nothing that suddenly made the system irrelevant aside from Sega going bankrupt.

3) This is your opinion. If Sega had money, it would take more than the PS2 to kill off the Dreamcast. Remember that the GC and the Xbox both survived that generation.

4) Not with just the 3DS.

5) Right.

Lol did you miss the part where they were like "and the lights went out" and the Dreamcasts were in warehouses and weren't selling - which you mentioned? Sega HAD Dreamcasts ready to be shipped - there was simply no demand for the Dreamcast... this is a fact. However, even worse was this: Software sales. The software sales for the Dreamcast were also abysmal, and Shenmue was a flop that also did Sega in.

The reason the Xbox and GameCube barely survived is simple: Due to their exclusives and technology and the fact they released a year AFTER the PS2 hype train was in full force. The Dreamcast sold VERY well at first, but by mid-2000 Dreamcast was doomed, and partially because of the PS2 hype train.

The Dreamcast was doomed the second it was released. At the most, it would have survived into 2002.

Mainly the 3DS. If Nintendo wants the Wii U to be a success they are going to have to target different demographics.
