Wrong. PS1:
Their sales curves are almost identical. Wii sold slightly quicker and peaked in year 3 instead of year 4. But Wii's year 4 was the same as PS1's. Year 5 was similar at 18 mil vs 15 mil. Year 6 saw Wii sell 10 vs PS1's 9. Year 7 is similar. It isn't until year 8 that PS1 gets much of an edge, and it lasts for about a year before it too dies. So Wii and PS1 have almost the same sales curve with Wii having a bigger year 2 and 3 while PS1 maintained relevance for about 1 more year. |
Except the Wii(a case, infact 3/4 year then no more interest on it),it is interesting to notice how the nintendo's home console trend goes worse in worse every gen...does wiiU will hold the trend?
it is early to say,but the first two year are not so encouragous...
