Whats so special about Pikachu? Charizard? Mewtwo? Imagine pokemon witout the originals at all in the next gen games.
King K Rool is nostalgic for the DK franchise, and DK Country (1-3) were amoung the top best platformers of the 90s.
King K Rool makes sense, he's a villian too. Me personally think he'll be great for SSB, but wont be upset if he doesn't make the cut.
Interestly enough the long forgotten Kremlings are in Smash run. This makes King K Rool chances better, as well as a Rhythm Heaven Characte due to Sneaky Shadows being an enemy as well.
