Probably not. At least Halo 5 will break the current streak and then they'll have to do it all over again for 3 years and who knows how many gears and Halos happen in that time. X360 only managed to do this by completely dominating the PS3 in US. The PS4 is currently not even close to dominating the X1 in US. It's pretty much still head to head. PS4 currently only has a 20% lead while 360 had most of the time a lead from 80-100% on the PS3.

I'd say this is a rather bold prediction than italics.

nope.  by then xbox will be a lost cause by then.

actually,.  the math says 50% lead in june which was xbox's price drop month.  that is beyond domination.  wait for july,.. you'll see your 80 to 100% lead on xbox.

I'd rather wait for the holidays. There are a lot more 360 owners waiting for the next gen jump than playstation owners. Not saying X1 will beat PS4 in the holidays but PS4 will not further their relative lead.

If the X1 gets dominated in these holidays as well, I'm even more sure that the streak will be broken by Halo 5.

It's as easy as Sony not having a big seller in the Halo month. Titanfall was only beaten because of the release of ISS.

i think it is a myth that 360 owners are satisfied and are upgrading to next gen at a slower rate than ps3 owner.  i can only speak of my group of friends and acquaintances but proprotionally they are upgrading at the same rate.   i've seen a lot move from xbox to ps4,. especially among the more causal gamers.
