Admittedly that does seem to be what IGN does most of the time. When a game released on home consoles and then released on Wii U for example; they would give it the exact same score and effectively the exact same review aside from a few small alterations and an extra paragraph. It wouldn't surprise me if a number of reviewers feel wrong giving the game a lower score given the fact it's a better game; but you've already reviewed it so there's not a lot more you can do.
