Based on this argument Pokemon and Fire Emblem aren't Nintendo-IPs, because look at the ownership of Creature Inc./Pokemon Company and Intelligent System.

Nintendo didn't own the Xenoblade Chronicles IP while Monolith Soft was a public company. Monolith Soft owned rights to the IP, and they were not completely owned by Nintendo at the time.

Nintendo owns the Pokemon and Fire Emblem IPs, even if a second-party dev develops them. Big difference.
