You may be right, but I still do not see the big difference to how Steam works.



Just an added explanation: Steam does not sell hardware, it is only a US-based service provider.

However, EU courts have mandated that they must allow sale of digital games for EU consumers. I belueve they have a 2015 deadline to comply and set up their service to handle that.
