http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/license (June 06, 2013) * Buy the way you want—disc or digital—on the same day * Access your entire games library from any Xbox One * Share access to your games with everyone inside your home * Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere * Trade-in and resell your disc-based games * Give your games to friends
MS had everything covered but were unable to comunicate it with the internet-mob. We would have all the pros of a modern system for the cost most of us pay when we use Steam or AppStore. *EDIT* it would be even better than Steam as you coud sell your disc-based game, and give it to friends. You can not do that on Steam can you? |
Unfortunately, your link doesn't work on my phone, but I remember what was there, and you stopped quoting too early. The link was also heavily edited following the initial 180.
It said that the friend must be on your friends list at least 30 days prior to the gift. The game cannot be gifted more than once, meaning that he fannot even give it back to you when he's done, since the game gets blocked from your download list forever.
It also said that you can selk used games only at participating retailers, which basically meant that everyone outside US/UK gets shafted.
It also said that you must check in daily, but if you activate your account on another console, you must check in hourly.
Etc, etc... So many anti-consumer policies, that the sale of XOne would have probably be prohibited in the EU because they break so many laws and consumer rights.
