Secret of Mana. Nostalgia blindness has to be what keeps people into that game. I didn't play it back in the day, so the game became a chore to get through, and I was excited to beat it and move onto the next one. But even worse than that is:
Phantasy Star 2 (not PSO2) is another game that tends to only be fondly remembered by anyone old enough to have played it back in the day, when standards were different.
