Pretty sure quoting everyone at once might get me poked at by a mod, so Imma just issue a blanket statement and say, yeah, even making the prediction I know it's a long shot. x3 Part of the reason I'm making it is there's kind of a humorous element to the idea that Sony might get so successful in one field of drawing consumer interest, it gives Microsoft an unintentonal leg up in the public eye.
And yeah, nooo doubt that if the X1 does win, the 'Victoryyy' proclamations will be coming in full swing from certain elements in the fanbase. Heck, Microsoft will shout the win from every rooftop they can find; their relatively quiet approach to hardware numbers has everything to do with the fact that they aren't winning, so pretty sure they, like any company, will leap at the chance to say 'We're number one.'
...especially since all the pent-up pre-order bundles being released in September will make Microsoft winning that month pretty bloody unlikely. o.o
