Still don't get it? It means I am gauging the ability of Microsoft to create hits for themselves without scouting outsiders games they've already made. Almost every major hit MS had has come from some outside company and it was already in development. Halo, Gears, Kinect. Those are the three biggest finds in the career of MS in the industry outside of Xbox Live and they were all found by MS. Well...ok..Sony turned down the Kinect and then MS got it, but you get the picture. Lionhead met the end of its greatest days under the ownership of MS. Rares franchises did as well, except for KI. I am loving KI, but I still feel sorry for Rare that MS wont even allow them to work on it, but rather just check up on how other studios develop their baby and just look and just act as a figurehead no different than a ceo that was kicked out of the company he created by the board of directors.
Most of MS games come from random people or known people and its always a toss up how those games turn out. Development is always a toss up but its better if from the company if they build a worthy group themselves and create quality from within. Good thing for MS they understand the importance of third party or else they would end up like they did in the first gen.
