Cool! That's awesome! Maybe they'll extend the beta too but I highly doubt it. Anyway, anyone who isn't so sure of this game, I highly recommend it. I've only played the beta (obviously), but here's my story:
A while back, during the golden ages of the FPS (at least in my worthless opinion), I was straight addicted to FPS games. I literally could not get enough of World at War, MW2, and Halo 3. I don't even want to disclose the amount of days I have logged into those games but I think you get my point. Anyway, I was the typical high school kid that got an Xbox 360 because all of my friends got one, simple as that. I had never had any console besides a Nintendo console before the 360 because, I'll just admit it, I am a diehard Nintendo fan. But during this phase, I hardly played any Nintendo games at all (except for Mario Strikers Charged and Pokemon Puzzle League, duh). I only ever wanted to play some type of FPS on my 360. However, with each new iteration of CoD and Halo, I found myself playing less and less until I finally stopped playing altogether. I lost complete touch with my 360. I thought that I had stopped playing these games because I had simply grown out of the age group that was most interested in FPS games. For a few years, I stopped playing them altogether.
Then, just recently, I started to visit gaming websites and heard all about this game called Titanfall that would revolutionize the first person shooter. And yes, as you can see where this is going, I got caught up in the hype...really hard. I didn't have my Xbox 360 with me at college, so I bought it for my computer (and I got the Season Pass
). I played it so much for about 1 week and ever since, I haven't even touched it. Almost $100 down the drain, all because I got caught up in the most hyped game of the generation (most likely). Again, this just confirmed for me that I had outgrown FPS games and that no game would ever get me back into them...until...
Destiny.
Even after I should have learned from my Titanfall mistake, I got caught up in the hype again with Destiny. I heard that there was a beta for the Xbox 360 and I decided I just had to try it. And I did...and I absolutely love it. It's different than how I felt for Titanfall, too. I feel like I only played Titanfall so much so I could justify the purchase. But I didn't purchase this beta and I just can't get enough of this game.
What I'm trying to say is that I didn't grow out of FPS games. I was wrong. The other iterations of CoD and Halo just weren't as good as the ones I originally played. I don't know what it is about this game. All I know is that I am having a hell of a time playing it. And I hope that anyone else that isn't sure about this game will give it a chance, just like I did. You're gonna like the way it plays...I guarantee it.
I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.
