Looking at this weeks pre-oders chart i was noticing Call of Duty: Advance Warfare and that it was lagging behind in pre-orders. Checking the charts off other years i discovered the difference is nothing short of shocking:

Total pre-orders 16 weeks from launch:

Call of Duty: Black Ops II:              840.000

Call of Duty: Ghosts:                       923.000 (including PS4 and XOne)

Call of Duty: Advance Warfare:    181.000 (including PS4 and XOne)

Offcourse you might be inclined to think that this is due to gamers focusing on Destiny first, and a game that big means they are holding off on other pre-rders. Well last year there was another big game dominating the pre-orders charts and releasing in September: Grand Theft Auto 5. And in 2012 there was another big game on top off the charts aswell: Halo 4. And that year Call of Duty pre-orders did not suffer either.

If any A trend clearly visible. Moreover, it's interesting to note that Call of Duty: Advance Warfare doesn't seem very interesting to ''new gen'' PS4/Xbox One owners, a strong contrast compared to most other big crossgen games so far.

So is this really the end of an era? Please give your opinion in the comments below.
