I think the Wii U has a shot at keeping second place. All the X1 has got is NA, where it's getting soundly beaten by the PS4. If the Wii U can make up the difference NA with Europe/Japan (wherein the X1 is dead), they may have a shot. Either that, or at the very least they'll keep second for a long time.
If a year ago I had been told the X1 would be struggling to outsell the Wii U, I would have laughed so hard. Funny how things have crumbled for MS.
