So why are people OK with ads on the 360/One dashboard?

I don't even recognize them as long as I don't look in that little corner where the ad always is, that's why I'm ok with it. They could obviously fill that little place with a picture of a game or something but yeah...

The "collecting" stuff , I use Google so that I'm used to that and I will get advertisement with or without them collecting these data. Just which ads I will get changes. 

I know that people say that "when you pay you shouldn't get ads" but it's only a matter of time until other companies will do the same. It's like with pay-tv, you already pay a huge amount and still get ads.
