It's the same for me, really.  I'm willing to look past it if the game is alright, but the point is that it shouldn't be there in the first place for me to have to look past.

I get why it's in there, but still.

Justification for including elements of any kind is needed, and that works the same way for this type of thing. If it's not thrown and works within the confines of the game, there's no reason to "look past" or ignore it. You don't hear statements like this about Mass Effect or Dragon Age. >_>
