GameCube only managed around 21 million if I am not mistaken. [[Pretty sure its close to 22 million but I do think its in that area.]]

It's still tracking a couple million below gamecube (even below dreamcast). [[They were from a different time. Lack of  internet made industry 'upsets' alot more challenging.]]

It is more underpowered and has less third party support than the GameCube had during its lifespan. [[Thats because the Gamecube trounced the PS2 in terms of power.]]

Its biggest game came out and it can only manage to do 60k in a week. [[Biggest game so far, Smash Bros and Mario Kart as a combo this Christmas will do alot.)

Almost all of its high selling franchises are already on the platform (just missing Smash Bros) [[And a NEW Zelda, way to stretch definitons there my boy.]]

Smash Bros is also on 3DS. [[A perfect way to bounce people onto the Wii-U.]]

Japan is a smaller market now than ever before. [[This is sadly true, but it does seem to be resulting in more localisation if Xenoblade Chronicles X and the new Fatal Frame getting a Hollywood film are anything to go by.]]

The New Zelda is cartoon which most zelda fans dislike. [[Actualy the fanbase was splintered on whether Wind Waker's charm or Twilight Princess's realism matter more. The reaction I've seen has been that almost all Zelda fans are happy with the balance and adore the style for its own values.]]

Will probably have a shorter lifespan than the GameCube due to it not being as powerful as the competition and being much cheaper. [[Iwata has repeatedly stated the intention to see the Wii-U's life-span through to completion until all fans are satisified. Do try to keep up my dear boy.]]

Online lags far behind than the competition. [[I found it to be pretty damn good for a free service, dwarfs the Wii. Albeit we can all agree its underutilized, but atleast that helps Nintendo push themselves as the champions of local multiplayer.]]

Nintendo so expect essentially zero advertising. [[That is why the age of internet is such a freaking blessing to Nintendo. Word of mouth will do them alot of good given their feeble advertising.]]

Wii U is being discontinued in some major retailers in the US just like Vita. [[Thankfully the big difference is that Nintendo won't give up on a console the way Sony have. The Wii-U still has a fighting chance if Nintendo can be smart about things. The fact its truly beatable rival, the Xbone, is only starting up now has provided it the opportunity to get its ass into gear, even if its well behind when it should have.]]

I see no way the Wii U can outsell gamecube. If anything the Wii U will hit 17 million. What do you think? [[I think you're sharply underestimating the combined impact of what is still to come.]]

Done.
