I suppose anything is possible, but I'm gonna say no. I think Microsoft will be the next to drop out of the console business. Xbox barely outsold Gamecube, half of the 360 numbers are RROD replacements, and the Xbone has been selling at WiiU levels for months.

Why do people still say this? Do you even think about the fact that the Xbox 360 sold MORE software than the PS3, and with only half as many consoles sold I would say that is quite a f***ing impressive feat. Perhaps some of the 360 numbers are actually replacements, but it is definetly not more than 2-3 million (not saying that RROD only happened to 2-3 million, just that only 2-3 million of replacements were counted as sales).

Multiplatform games topping the sales chart for X360 over PS3 does not equal selling more software. For example, if a console has more variety of games to offer, then the numbers will be more spread out between title. It's no secret that PS3 got a lot more support by exclusive titles over time.

By "selling more software" I mean that the total amount of 360 software sold (non-digital) is higher than the total amount of PS3 software sold (also ofcourse non-digital).

Selling more software = Selling more software.
