It's the only game wiiu owners have been talking about all year basically. Of course it should sell more. Also until smash the wiiu doesn't have anything coming out exciting. Not true for ps4. 

MK8 is one of the best games from a very popular seriesc - of course people are talking about it. 

MK always has a tie ratio of ~30% on consoles.  It's performing exactly as it always has.  It's pretty irrelevent what games are (or aren't) coming out in the next couple of months.  MK will have legs.  It will continue to sell to ~30% of all new WiiU owners until the end of the generation.
