New Leaf was definitely the best. It's a crime that it hasn't sold more than Wild World and probably never will, but at least it has a better attach ratio. After that, I'd put the original. It had some nice features that didn't return, like including collectible, fully playable classic Nintendo games. It also had the highest villager population cap of the series. No really, they still haven't topped it. It's pathethic. After that I'd put City Folk, because the city was pretty cool, but the grass deteriorating mechanic was legendarily horrific. Wild World was the worst. It had the least content, the lowest population cap, and made you share a house with four other people instead of everyone getting their own house.
