If Titanfall couldn't turn things around, nor a $100 less expensive model without Kinect, nor bundles at ridiculous prices with multiple free games, what makes you think Halo 5 or indeed ANY game will magically make people consider buying one? This "war" is over, Microsoft lost. |
While it's true that one game doesn't turn the tide, I'm tired of hearing the argument when people dring up a game boosting sales. Big games always boost sales, often by 100k or more for a couple weeks. Then big games also often times increase the baseline. And yes, one single game rarely turns someone from not buying one to buying one, but people do often get pushed over the edge into buying a console from one more game coming out.
