I feel like a lot of the Halo 5 buyers will jump in during the MCC release this year, even though X1 will most likely be cheaper once 5 comes out. UC is not as big of a franchise as Halo and I think the US fanbase is a bit more varied in what they play so their system purchases will be spread across time. So there is a lot of factors if they go head to head.
Going back to what I said, I honestly think the Halo fans will jump into a likely MCC bundle(perhaps $350 black friday) and that will effect sales during Halo 5 week, so the boost will not be as large as launching Halo 5 by itself.
edit: I dont see anything near a 2:1 sales game in NA or the world for that matter. There is only so many console gamers that are willing to jump in on game starved consoles.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
