The Wii years I've cited are similar too - and also imply 4-6m.
X360 also did 2.4m in H1 2011 - when it sold >7m for the year. So to me, overall the numbers imply about a 5m year for PS4 - strong - but not anywhere near what the launch year suggested was possible.

PS4 also has probably the least amount of "next gen only" games in console transition history.
Once Uncharted and the other big next gen only game arrive it will pick back up again. There are still many people waiting.

bloodbourne,order 66,driveclub?! but its sadly true i mean 1st party is sparse heck both are sparse only 1 first party for both have release this year(infamous, and kinect sports rivals(1 flop and 1 was massive) heck even wii u had barely any exclusives(donkey kong and mario kart) 2014 is pathetic gaming wise so far
i didnt include titanfall since it is also on pc/xbox 360
