But the technical barrier is gone now. It would be perfectly feasible to create an RE game which at least has a control scheme for both old fans and new Oh, yes please! That would be awesome! Remakes of 2 & 3 would be awesome for sure. Nemesis in particular, as you said, would be really interesting with the power of the modern systems.
As for the reboot? I don't mind the over the shoulder view actually. I just want the gameplay to be like the previous games, with a focus on survival. There are not that many games like that anymore, yet we have a ton of Action games, time to bring survival back. The Evil Within is being worked on by the guy who did the or original games, so I might check that out depending on if it has enough content.
