Earthbound is an rpg first off, but it's an Rpg with some extreme character. Instead of fighting beasts you fight muggers with baseball bats, or the strongest ant that ever did live.
The story is also well done you feel a sense of amazement from the music and the overall story is the typical coming of age that school has made us love (or despise).
The fighting is also nicely designed as the game goes on and as you get more characters on your team the enemies (or environments damn you sunburn!) become harder to overcome. Plus the layout of fighting is nice and simple.
Overall I just have to say it's a harder Rpg but it's a amazing game either way.
Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.
