What's a better character action game? DMC3 possibly. We know Bayonetta two is already better than the first by a longshot thanks to hands on time with it. It's made by the guys who litereally created the genre.

I also happen to like the longevity of Smash. I felll out of fighting games because they repackage a lot of sh*t that could easily be patches and add a word to the title. Forgive me if I wouldn't be jumping for joy for a Super Duper Smash Bros. Hyper the World: The Arcade Edition.
They could just focus on building the proper base and aquiring third parties to make the titles they need. Nintendo has also been working hard to put out Second party titles.
