Samus and Link in MK8?

What do you think will happen when you use the amiibo figures of Samus or Link in Mario Kart 8?

I see several options:

1. Nothing happens
2. You unlock Samus and Link as new characters
3. You unlock new vehicle(part)s
4. You unlock new tracks
5. You get costumes for your MiiCharacter (Like the Samus and Link Costumes in 3DS-MiiPlaza)
6. You get Samus and Link as rivals, which level up the more you drive against them. (Like in Smash)
7. Some unexpected suprise only Nintendo could imagine ...

Do you think one of my 7 options will come true? Or do you have own Ideas? Post them here.
