Ironically Britain abolished Slavery before the USA... and let's be fair, britain was pretty bad in trying to take over the world, but that was indeed a very long time ago, and they learnt their lesson when they got their asses kicked. Ironically its the USA that has got involved in more illegal wars than anyone and that is recent history, not something from James the first.
