This isn't a matter of opinion.

Excite Truck is a racing game. That is pure, unadulterated fact. You'd be an ignorant fool to argue otherwise.

What happens when you place first? You get a significant star bonus, to assist you in winning even if you got fewer stars than the competition. Hmm, sounds like you're racing to get that bonus, eh?

Not to mention you can't just keep driving around and earning stars after somebody's finished the race - you've gotta complete it too.
