I'll tell you why. It's because they sold out their own people to grab a slice of the US pie and take it to MS. As a result, the Wii-U, as console with AAA Japanese games developed by Japanese developers, has stolen their thunder. It's going to be an uphill battle winning that country back after this imo because it means releasing Japanese games and they don't have that as a priority.
