Well technically I only started gaming towards the very end of 6th Gen XD I was 3/4 when Gen 5 ended x~x I only saw the Gen 6 aftermath with everyone owning a PS2 and the Wii becoming super popular a couple months later XD
From experience: 6 > 7 > 8*
Overall: 6 > 5 > 4 > 7 > 3 > 8
*8 is still too recent for a fair comparison
