LOL Anticipating failure??? They had several consoles to KNOW Gamecube, N64, Then wii.......On top of that the cost to make a game for nintendo systems which are weak to run next gen engines are not worth it and a hassle...Nintendo have themselves to blame period. They forced devs hands and made systems without any care what devs, the industry needed going forward. Saying nintendo is blameless is ridiculous./

It's there JOB to make a platform that garners support from third parties to thirive, they have not.

Wii was much cheaper to develop for than PS3/360. But the industry wrongly assumed the Wii would flop, and released nothing but shovelware on it. By the time they realized their mistake it was too late for most; they had bred contempt for third parties among Nintendo gamers.

Shovleware was all that would work on wii, it was a gimmick console with terrible controls...... N64 gamecube saw a huge decline in third party support and nintendo kept ignoring devs, making systems with bad online, bad dev tools, bad architecture that cannot run modenr publishers engines...They have themself to blame........................ It is not developers job to make the platform attractive, it's nintendos, nintendo failed.
