you just think Just Dance is overrated? Interesting. But IMHO thats my problem. Why should you HAVE to do research for a system like that I shouldnt throw a dart in a store and hit some shovelware title. If i have to do research just to get to some decent games, not even good decent then that console's library in the end really isnt that good. IMHO. The irony is that people who think is overrated are the people doing the research they are forum goers liek me. Just Dance people love the system for hte most part. See thats the thing thats not good enough, nto when you are basing your entire console around it. It aint hurting gameplay but it aitn enchancing it so whats really the point at the end of the day? Better off just sticking to a regular controller at least then you know its gonna work. And there were some games they just shoehorned it in just to say they had it that did make it worse (looking at you DKCReturns) Thats just me. |
Well weren't you saying Just Dance is overrated by its audience, essentially? Perhaps I misunderstood. My point is that if you're a serious gamer, you shouldn't be throwing darts at any console's library, you should be doing your homework on what and what not to play. If you're not a serious gamer, then you're probably cool with mindless drivel like Just Dance. And if you fall into the former category, then you should know that the Wii has plenty of good games for you.
If I owned a PS2 in its heyday, I wouldn't walk into a store and randomly pick out a game based on it's box art or something along those lines. Why would I do that for the Wii? For that matter, why would you (not in general this time. YOU, oniyide)? Are you telling me you close your eyes, point your finger, spin in a circle, count to an arbitrary number and pick a game based on where you stop? No, I'm quite sure that all of your game purchases are well informed decisions.
Furthermore, it's not the fault of the Wii itself that many of its best games never got any real estate on store shelves that were dominated by the likes of Just Dance and the Michael Jackson Experience. That doesn't make those games any less meaningful or deserving of attention. The fact that you have to go out of your way to find the Wii's hidden gems only serves to make my point, and the point of this thread: the Wii is the most underrated Nintendo console. I don't think there is anything else I can say without repeating myself, so please feel free to rebuttal. However, if I have nothing more to add, I will not waste your time or mine with a resposne.
