Xbone + WiiU closing the gap with ps4 (1)

although it hasn't yet been a year since the release of the ps4 and xbox one, i think we have come a lot closer to answering this question. a lot of people believed ps4 was going to attain 60%+ market share and reclaim the glory of the ps2 days. with how things have been going in the industry, it seems obvious that its going to be a much closer race than it was in the 6th generation. even a closer race than it was in the 7th generation. e3 was telling in itself. microsoft did everything right while sony.. well, sony was doing things that microsoft was heavily chastised for the e3 before. all the while, the majority went ahead and gave nintendo the win.  (3)

sony isnt going to have that big exclusive that is going to double its sales over a long period of time. no sony exclusive has ever proven to do for a playstation console what halo or mario kart does for xbox or nintendo consoles. theyre going to have to rely on big third party games like watch dogs to get those kinds of boosts that youre talking about. So, in order :

1) For the X1 or wiiu to "closing the gap", they need to sell MORE than the ps4, and that's not the case.

1bis) Please don't add Wiiu and Xbone together, thanks.

2) A closer race than in 7th gen ? Really ? While the ps3 only got 2 or 3 millions more than the 360 ? With how things are now ? You're a poor analyst.

3) I don't know in which world you live, but the press and ppl in general didn't think microsoft "did everything right", Just look at the pools, or the conference conclusion in general. Most of the time, it's : Nintendo >>>>>>>>> sony > microsoft. Nintendo did everyhing alrightt yeah, even more with the treehouse. Sony had a lot of demos too in E3, while microsoft...well...

4) Do you know Grand turismo ? It sell more than halo, but maybe it's not important for you.
