Kobe staying with the Lakers his entire career was actually a very wise business move. Too bad he sucks as a teamate though or he easily could have won a couple more rings.

Rape rings are expensive. You'd never see Kobe take a large pay cut to make his team better like the big 3 in Miami/SA did or Dirk just did.

Well at this point he pretty much knows he is not going to win another ring with the Lakers so he just wants to get paid. Nash was pretty selfish in that regard also he should have took a slight pay cut and stayed with the Mavs and he would have won at least one ring.
