Your suggestions would make the games more balanced but I fear the game would get too complicated with all the rules and new strategy element. Ha!
People have been requesting split votes though so maybe I could give it a shot. Two problems might occur though...
1) I would have to spend much more time counting votes up. I use an iPad and it's normally great but it's pretty slow with this site. The site isn't very mobile friendly.
2) The game could potentially take much longer to finish. With votes not always having a difference of two...votes could always end balanced with nothing ever losing points.
I'll have to consider these things with regards to future games.
As for my idea? I couldn't really think of any gaming ideas at the moment since most of them have been done before. I was thinking of a user elimination game. People vote for other members of the site to see who is the most liked. It'd just be for fun though and people who wanted to be apart of the choices would have to sign up to make sure they actually want to be in it. The mods ignored it though.
