Alright then, so since this seems to pertain only to digital titles and they can't have shortages, I just won't pay for this.

No big deal then. Basically if you want to take the risk and pre-purchase a digital title knowing full well you have no chance of a refund then what's the harm in being able (if you choose) to beta test it?
