By cutting out a lot of the crap, I mean Skate and Heavenly Sword, really? Remakes don't count either.

1998 looks a lot better, Zelda, Panzer Dragoon, Pokemon, Metal Gear Solid and Half-Life alone trump 2007. Where would gaming be without Half-life and Pokemon? It would be completely different. Plus Ocarina of Time is often regarded as the best game ever made (makes IGN's list every year)
