I personally think we can do without M$ anti consumer stance in the industry and Sony's lack of innovation and instead goes with a "assimilate what's popular" business practice. But they both have an important role in the industry. That being said, I personally don't want to play with a dual shock or xbox controller for the rest of my gaming life.
